Prominent Andover philanthropist Richard L. (Dick) Sumberg has joined the advisory board of Andover News, bringing more than four decades of experience in professional and charitable organizations to the non-profit news site.
An Andover resident with his wife Lolli since 1969, Dick, an Eagle Scout, graduated from Boston College with a degree in Business Administration and from Suffolk University with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Dick’s early business career included 15 years as a co-owner and manager of a tool distribution company. He was the founder of The Financial Advisors LLC, an SEC Registered Investment Advisor. He has served in board and leadership positions for Yankee Clipper Council BSA, Merrimack Valley Estate Planning Council, Family Service of the Merrimack Valley, Essex County Community Foundation, Edgewood Retirement Community and currently serves as President of the Board of Essex County Habitat for Humanity.
The Andover News advisory board is made up of community members from a wide range of backgrounds. The board assists and advises the Andover News board of directors as they work to build a sustainable, independent news source for Andover.
