Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEMA), the largest girl serving organization in Massachusetts, is proud to recognize Anna Bacchi of Andover as a member of the ‘500 Club,’ honoring local Girl Scouts who sold over 500 packages of Girl Scout Cookies during the 2023-2024 Cookie Program.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the world’s largest entrepreneurial program for Girl Scouts. Through the program, Girl Scouts learn valuable transferable life skills, including goal setting, decision-making, money management, and customer service. Every cookie box purchased is an investment in the world-changing leaders of tomorrow.

Anna Bacchi sold a total of 2006 boxes, making her the 9th highest cookie seller in Eastern Massachusetts. This is her 7th year as a member of the 500 club. Anna is an Ambassador Girl Scout in Troop 78180, which includes 11th graders who attend Andover High School and Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School.

Anna is using the cookie credits she earned to help fund a Girl Scout Destination to London and Paris in July. Destinations are independent travel programs for Girl Scouts in 6th-12th grade. Anna will travel with 20 Girl Scouts from across the country, representing 13 states and 14 Girl Scout councils. The trip includes a visit to Pax Lodge, a World Centre for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.

During the 2023-2024 Cookie Program, 14,012 Girl Scouts in eastern Massachusetts participated in the iconic program, selling over 1.9 million boxes; 564 Girl Scouts were a part of the ‘500 Club.’
