I confidently recommend Shauna Murray for the position of Andover School Committee Member. Shauna, a certified educator, excels in the areas of instruction, curriculum, and teacher training. In my years of working with her at Nashua High School South as her English Department Chair, I have found Shauna to be honest, fair, principled, creative, perceptive, and organized. She is a consummate educator and will harness the above qualities to enhance Andover’s excellence in academics, curriculum, instruction, and extracurriculars.

Shauna is a team player who understands public education. She joined my department in 2004 as an English teacher and very quickly became an invaluable educator for two decades because she worked well with students, administration, and parents alike, offering pragmatic responses to educational challenges, well researched instruction, and powerful curriculum. She is a leader who mentors new hires because she is both skilled in the classroom and a gracious, accessible colleague. She also has served on several district committees where she worked side by side with principals, superintendents, school board members, parents, and community members. Her level-headed engagement and commitment to equity always guides her toward creating solutions that benefit the students and families of Nashua. Shauna‘s deep sense of community and civic duty will strengthen Andover’s school committee.

Please take the time to read Shauna’s credentials – and try to meet her. You will be impressed by her qualifications and her character. Vote on March 26 for Shauna Murray for Andover School Committee.

Sincerely.

Susan B. Rourke
