The Run For The Troops 5k is on Sunday, Nov. 12.

Run For The Troops, Andover’s annual 5k run and walk to support veterans, returns on Sunday.

As of Thursday morning, 1,375 runners and walkers were registered for the race. Proceeds from the event support local charities that offer support to military veterans. For more information, see the event Website.

Tickets are still available for the pre-race dinner and silent auction on Fridayy at 6 p.m. at the Danversport Yacht Club. Tickets are $125 per person.

The race starts at 9 a.m. Sunday and same-day registration is available. A beer garden sponsored by Oak & Iron Brewery will pen at 9 a.m. on race day. Several downtown streets will be closed or detoured between 8:30 and 11 a.m. on Sunday. The race starts at Park and Bartlet Streets:

Runners can pick up bibs and race packets before the race, or between Thursday and Saturday at Commonwealth Motors Nissan in Lawrence. You will need to show your confirmation email when you pick up your race packet.
