North Main and other Andover streets were flooded as a heavy rainstorm swept through the Merrimack Valley Tuesday morning.

Route 133 near the IRS building was also flooded. Police and DPW crews responded to multiple calls, including reports of manhole covers being pushed out of place, according to scanner reports. In some areas, power was shutdown because of flooding that threatened to hit electrical panels in Andover homes and buildings

Large swaths of eastern Massachusetts, including Andover, are under a flood watch until 12:15 a.m. Wednesday. A severe thunderstorm warning expired at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
