School may be closed for the summer, but Andover High School students can still pick up work permits at the school.

Massachusetts requires work permits for kids between the ages of 14 and 17 who want to get a part-time job. You can learn more on the state’s Website.

Summer hours for getting permits at the high school are Monday-Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm and Fridays from 9 am to 12:30 pm. Children who do not attend AHS need to make an appointment. AHS students do not need appointments.

Students need to bring a completed work permit application and proof of age, such as a birth certificate, passport or driver’s license. Learner’s permits are not accepted.
