An Andover woman overcame odds of 1-in-5.4 million to claim a $4 million Massachusetts Lottery scratch ticket prize.
Debra DeCaro opted for the cash option and received a one-time, $2.6 million before taxes. She told lottery officials she will use the money to pay off her mortgage.
The Richdale Store at 10 Andover Street where DeCaro bought the winning Emerald 50X $10 scratch ticket will receive a $40,000 bonus from the lottery.
Lottery officials said there are still five, $1 million prizes in the game.
