The owners of La Rosa’s, La Fina, and Prive were scheduled to open their newest restaurant in Downtown Andover for dinner Wednesday night.

Mike Cammarata and Paul LaRosa will be offering an “eclectic menu” in the space previously occupied by Smythe & Dove/Dakota Bar. Cammarat said after tonight’s opening, The autograph will be open daily for lunch and dinner.

“This restaurant represents our unwavering commitment to delivering unparalleled dining experiences,” Cammarata said in a news release. “We have poured our hearts into creating a restaurant that not only reflects our passion for food but also honors the trust and loyalty our patrons have shown us over the years. We can’t wait to share The Autograph with the community.”

Smythe & Dove closed abruptly in January. The restaurant opened in the spring of 2019 — on the heels of the 2018 Merrimack Valley gas explosions and a year before the coronavirus pandemic brought the restaurant industry to a halt. The restaurant demolished the site of the former Andover Bookstore, which moved to 74 Main Street in August 2017, to build the current space.
