Andover Fire Rescue extinguished a fire Sunday at the location of a restaurant that closed after a fire last fall.
Video from Sunday’s fire shows firefighters working to put out hot spots in Daxi, one of the three restaurants owned by Andolinis Restaurant Group that were closed after a fire on the block in October. Sauce and 15sx also closed after the fire, which caused an estimated $1 million in damage.
Andover News asked Andolinis Restaurant Group for comment. A notice on the company’s Website saying the restaurants were temporarily closed has not been updated since October.
Lawrence, North Andover and Wilmington provided backup coverage as Andover fire responded to the two-alarm fire at 19 Essex Street. Andover News has asked Andover Fire Rescue for more details and will update this story when we hear back from them.
